#Milton – The rain begins in Merida

This Monday afternoon, the first effects of the approach of Hurricane Milton, a category 5 hurricane, are already being felt in the city of Mérida, in the Mexican state of Yucatán.

At around 2:15 p.m., the hurricane’s clouds covered the city and the rain began intermittently.

The sustained winds can already be felt in the streets of Mérida, as can be seen in the live webcam of user Eduardo Cardenas, on Youtube.

The Yucatan Peninsula is the last point on land that Hurricane Milton will approach before heading towards the Florida Peninsula this afternoon.
